7 June 2012 - Solo Exhibition, Hamilton Gallery, Sligo

The Hamilton Gallery, Sligo, will present its first solo exhibition with Mary Lohan. The exhibition, entitled Sea Fields, will continue the artist's work on the landscape and the sea.

A joint exhibition at the Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast, is also planned for late summer.

28 August 2010 - The Empty Family - A new short story by Colm Tóibín

Today The Guardian features a full print by artist Mary Lohan. The print is Sandymount Strand and it is available in The Review magazine

The print accompanies a new short story, The Empty Family by author Colm Tóibín. It is also available to view online in the Archive.

23 February 2009 - Solo Exhibition, Vangard Gallery, Cork

The Vangard Gallery is delighted to present its fourth solo exhibition with Mary Lohan, entitled 'Margin'. The show runs from the 14th February - 17th March 2009. Selected works from the exhibition can now be accessed here. Adobe PDF required for viewing.

23 May 2008 - Solo Exhibition, Taylor Galleries, Dublin

The Taylor Galleries, Dublin, will present its seventh solo exhibition with landscape painter, Mary Lohan. The exhibition, entitled Ballyconnigar, features oils on board, canvas and works on paper. 30 April 2008 - Irish Museum of Modern Art

Over 10,000 artworks from the collections of Business to Arts’ member companies were considered from which a final selection of 50 was made. Most of the works are by Irish or Irish-based artists and largely comprise paintings, works on paper and sculpture, reflecting the prevailing tendency of corporate collectors towards more traditional forms of presentations. Lohan's work will be included among the other art works at the exhibition, 10,000 to 50: Contemporary Art from the Members of Business to Arts, which runs until 04 August 2008.

'This two part documentary (TX 3rd and 10th April) tells the story of the evolution and development of landscape painting in Ireland through the experience of six living artists: Sean McSweeney, Barrie Cooke, James O'Connor, Mary Lohan, Martin Gale and Dorothy Cross.' 16 January 2006 - Siar 50: Irish Museum of Modern Art

Lohan's work will be included among the artworks to be exhibited at Siar 50. This work is selected from 50 Years of Irish Art from the Collections of the Contemporary Irish Art Society. The show runs between 17th November and the 19th February 2006.

12 August 2005 - Mary Lohan, 'New Paintings', 15 September - 8 October

The Vangard Gallery is delighted to present its third solo exhibition with acclaimed landscape painter, Mary Lohan. Lohan studied in the National College of Art and Design and now lives and works in Dublin. She has been widely acknowledged as a leading exponent of contemporary Irish landscape painting. This exhibition, featuring oils on canvas and works on paper, continues her exploration of the shifting lights and colours of water and sky. Her thickly impasto'ed depictions of empty western coastlines have earned her a place in a number of international shows and are featured in various national, municipal and institutional collections around the country. They include the collections of the A.I.B bank, the Office of Public Works, the Department of An Taoiseach; the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Contemporary Irish Art Society.

24 July 2005 - Solo show at Vangard Gallery

Mary Lohan's next exhibition will open in the Vangard Gallery, in Cork, on the 15th September 2005 and will run for two weeks. The show will feature new work on paper and canvas.

14 May 2005 - Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition

Lohan's work will be included among the artworks to be exhibited at the 175th Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition, running from May 17 until June 25.
