Grainne Cuffe
Grainne Cuffe graduated from Dun Laoghaoire Institute of Art and Design and Technology in 1979.She then joined the Graphic Studio,Dublin.She followed John Kelly to the Black Church Studio as lithgraphy was her medium. She studied Lithography at Tamarind Institute in 1984.She is a Fulbright scholar.Norman Ackroyd taught her etching at Central St.Martins,London,1987-'89.She also made etchings in Milan at Graphico Uno,having won an Italian Government scholarship.As large etchings took over in her work,she rejoined the Graphic Studio.
Cuffe exhibited in and was a co-organiser of the Gardens of Earthly Delights exhibition in the Chester Beatty Library,Dublin in 2005.Her etching "Dianthus I" was part of the Artists Proof show in the Chester Beatty,2009.She is a regular exhibitor at the Graphic Studio Gallery, Dublin,the Royal Academy,London,the Royal Hibernian Academy,Dublin and the Kenny Gallery,Galway.
